Fruit of the Spirit

As servants of Yah, we've got to show our faith through our works (James 2:22).

Through our demonstration of works, certain characteristics will shine forth. The Messiah, Yahushua, gives us this key advice on determining who has the spirit of Yah within them and who doesn't.

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles?

Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit." Matthew 7:17-19

To see whether someone is bringing forth good or corrupt fruit, we simply look at their actions. If someone is always angry, dishonorable to their parents, not loving to their brothers, disobedient to Yah, and impatient, they would be deemed as unfruitful.

But if you meet someone who is kind, fully committed to Yah and his laws, has faith in the Messiah, gives to the poor, keeps the sabbath day holy, and shows the fruits of the spirit, they would be considered fruitful.

Now, take a look at yourself and those around you. Are you bearing the fruits of the spirit daily? Are your friends and family bringing forth thorns or healthy fruits? How can I serve Yah better and exemplify the fruits of the spirit?

If you don't know where to start, ask Yah! He's always looking for more servants to do what is pleasing to him.

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of Elohim, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of Yah."
James 1:6-8
